LEADERSHIP
Reginald Delapenha
Brooke Meyer, CMP, CASE
Reginald “Choppy” Delapenha is a high energy, fiscally conscious, goal-driven executive who approaches each new business challenge with his intrinsic flair for innovation, creative problem-solving, sustainable development objectives and measured risk-taking to drive consistent bottom-line improvements and returns.
Early in his career, Reginald's goal was to complement his natural technical savvy with a strong foundation in business and finance. Thus, in 1977 he accepted his first position with Barclays Bank, now known as First Caribbean Bank and later joined another banking institution before pursing his first business venture in 1986.

Reginald found himself intrigued by the world of land development and other projects that he interfaced with daily as he worked with local business people to secure their lending requirements. Consequently, when offered an opportunity to develop a large-scale land project, he jumped at the chance to apply his technical and construction skills coupled with his finance and accounting experience to successfully complete his first multi-million dollar project.
He began to diversify his business experience – and from multi-million dollar residential development and construction projects, commercial development and construction projects - to the ownership and operation of a 170-room resort, he has successfully operated businesses in Grand Cayman for the last 30 years.
Throughout it all, Reginald has repeatedly proven his ability to lead through diverse and challenge situations. He is an excellent agent of change and has a documented track record of accomplishments that include the turnaround of chaotic and struggling operations; start-up and management of new projects, creation and launch of new and improved businesses; and growth and expansion of mature, established operations.
Brooke Meyer has an unwavering commitment to mastering the dynamics of the hospitality industry – and sharing that wisdom with her peers, clients, and stakeholders.
